Hungarian National Stand at Sirha Lyon

On behalf of the Hungarian Bocuse Academy and Hungexpo, our design department and our own team of carpenters designed and built the Hungarian gastronomy stand at the 2015 Sirha

International Gastronomic Exhibition. When developing the concept, we had to balance two important aspects: we wanted to create an interior that was both attractive and usable, with practical solutions. We designed a restaurant first and a stand second, so function dictated form. We envisioned an open, airy structure combined with the bistro culture of Budapest. Our young designers portrayed the capital's distinctive moments through their own unique lens. The stand was built in just 3 days, combining recycled planks, demolished beams, bricks and Art Nouveau cement slabs with raw concrete-like surfaces and a modern design. The project was awarded 3rd place in the Installations category at LolliPOP 2015.
