2016 Rio Olympics
The Hungarian Visitors Centre was an integrated hospitality and business centre. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, it was visited by athletes, executives, sponsors, distinguished international guests and tourists.
Our task was to design and build a venue that would showcase Hungary's advantages, its sporting history and represent Hungary's ability to be the perfect host for the Olympic family. It draws visitors in and provides a special venue for VIP guests and press events. We provided a wide range of expertise to support the project, with design in Budapest and construction and project management in Rio de Janeiro. All equipment was manufactured and delivered across the ocean within 1 month.
In the concept we not only gave an insight into the history of sport in Hungary, we also brought specialities from the fields of Hungarian culture, art, architecture, crafts and gastronomy. All this was done with new interactive solutions and digital animated content, which made the experience playful and enjoyable. Water as the essential element of life has become the central visual element of the concept. Clean water is essential for sport and healthy living. Hungary is rich in water, thermal water and karst water. Hungary is very successful in aquatic sports (swimming, water polo, kayak canoeing).
